My name is Sanna. I live in Hyvinkää, but I am originally from Southwest Finland. I teach history and religious education in upper secondary school. And then I also photograph. More and more all the time.
Photography has been a part of my life for a long time. Sometimes more and sometimes less. Every now and then my students ask me about my hobbies. At some point I realized that I don't really know how to answer that. I knit, I read and I play video games but that was really it. As a kid and a teenager I used to have lots of hobbies but university studies and then later work had turned me into a homebody. So, a couple of years ago I signed up for a photography course to bring an old hobby back to life. And I immediately got hooked again. Now this hobby has turned into a side hustle.
As a photographer I like noticing small details in addition to the big picture. I enjoy being able to turn the feelings of the moment into a picture. I always try to tell a story with my photos. I specialize in wedding photography but also enjoy photographing families. I'm also always keen for new challenges!
I don't enjoy being in front of the camera myself very well which is why there are not a lot of photos of me. I'd rather capture the moment myself. But that is also why I understand being nervous in front of the camera and why I try and make the photo shoot as relaxed as possible with my bad jokes! My clients often say that I make the situation easier for them by being so relaxed myself.
